red ant colony
A small society under your cursor. Leave food, draw a trail, or simply watch them decide what matters.
The north path is busy.
Scouts are laying down a temporary route between the upper crumb and the nest entrance.
Small gestures, large consequences.
Click for food. Drag to draw pheromones. Hover an ant. Scroll down to see the rooms below the soil.

Colony presence
Every colony begins as a disturbance.
Launch a token-shaped colony and give it a name. The interface is ready for a future contract layer, but currently keeps the field local and harmless.
launch a colony
Give your little society a name, a ticker, and a first source of liquidity.
What happens next
Nothing is sent anywhere in this version. The launch state is saved in this browser and can be reset from the board.
how it works
A colony is not a picture of many ants. It is a collection of local decisions that happen to become a society.
Each ant has a small memory.
Workers carry a role, a preferred direction, a little wandering noise, and a target. Scouts explore. Foragers search for crumbs. Soldiers patrol the perimeter. No ant knows the whole colony.
Paths are suggestions, not roads.
Dragging across the field leaves a temporary trail. Nearby ants sample it and bend their movement toward it. The trail fades over time, which keeps the colony curious instead of trapped.
A click changes the economy.
A crumb creates a local event. Scouts notice it, foragers collect it, and carriers return toward the nest. Every successful delivery increases the stored-food counter and strengthens the route for a moment.
The underground is a second rhythm.
Scroll down, disturb the surface, or pull the field downward to reveal chambers. The nest contains eggs, larvae, food storage, workers, soldiers, and the queen chamber at its quiet center.
Rain makes the colony contract.
Rain temporarily dampens the surface and brings most ants closer to the entrance. Soldiers remain outside while workers redistribute food through the tunnel network.
The field remembers your visit.
Food, speed, night mode, sound preference, colony age, and launch details are stored locally. Refreshing the page returns you to the last active tab and the same living field.
Nothing waits for the user.
The colony continuously moves, gathers, forgets, reacts, and reorganizes. Your cursor is only another weather event.
